Washburn Tech: Clark Coco Scholarship Fund

Clark Coco has strived to make each student at Washburn University Institute of Technology feel important and welcome, and he has worked tirelessly to create high-demand technical education programs. In celebrating his career before retiring this summer, campus and community leaders honored his contribution to education in Topeka, Shawnee County and the region. As part of that, the JEDO/GOTopeka Scholarship was renamed the Clark Coco Scholarship Fund. This fund provides Shawnee County residents going into high-demand career fields up to $500 in aid each semester, and it impacts dozens of students every year. Alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Washburn Tech are now invited to give to that fund and increase the number of students it can impact.

Many Washburn Tech programs wouldn't exist without Coco's dream for what Washburn Tech could become. His contributions will have a longstanding effect on the students he's helped educate and the communities that benefit from a strong and dedicated workforce. Will you make a gift to help get this fund up to $10,000 and give more students the opportunity to gain the training and life skills to enrich their lives and strengthen our workforce? Every dollar will go back to Shawnee County students to pay for tuition and course materials.
